I've kept my gmail with my real name as far from fandom as possible and I think initially I also had my other email addresses display my fandom name. I'm not sure when I changed it, but at one point I changed them.
I can totally understand that! I remember hearing all those stories of "met on the internet" that ended badly (even if it was pertaining to dating) and some rather bad threats within fandom that it's most certainly a good idea to keep them separate. And then there's keeping my rl away from my more questionable stories :D
